About the position

The position involves strategic financial planning and forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing professional guidance to clients and stakeholders. The role is designed for individuals with a CPA or those on track to obtain one, focusing on corporate accounting and mentorship of junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and plan the financial direction of the organization while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and analysis, including review and analysis of financial statements.
  • Advise clients on financial strategies, considering their individual budgets and risk tolerance.
  • Perform general accounting duties including bank reconciliations, budgeting, tax planning, and auditing.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of corporate accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • Must have a current CPA license or be on track to earn a CPA license.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, accounting principles, and best practices.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide team members in their growth and performance.
  • Analytical capabilities with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
