About the position

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA) is seeking highly motivated and qualified manufacturing professionals for Direct Hire onto our second shift production operations. This position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in various manufacturing roles, including Manufacturing Assembly, Machine Operating, Picker-Packer roles, Quality Control, Fork Truck operations, Automotive Repair, and Industrial Maintenance. As a Direct Hire Production Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the assembly of Subaru vehicles, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency in production processes. The role involves performing a variety of manufacturing tasks, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, and rotating through different stations to complete specific production processes. You will conduct quality inspections on products and parts, prepare finished products for shipment to other SIA sections, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Additionally, you will be expected to actively participate in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement activities, including initiating, documenting, and participating in company-wide Kaizen projects. Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing tasks and identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
  • Work alongside a team to complete processes towards the assembly of Subaru vehicles.
  • Rotate through stations for specific production processes.
  • Conduct quality inspections on products and parts.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment to other SIA Sections.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Actively participate in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Initiate, document, and participate in company-wide Kaizen projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1.5+ years' experience in manufacturing assembly, machine operating, picker-packer, quality control, fork truck operations, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, or any related manufacturing role.
  • Ability to work a 2nd Shift schedule (Generally, 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM).
  • Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Must be a self-directed, motivated individual.
