About the position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient processing and inventory accuracy. This role involves leading and training the warehouse team, managing timekeeping, and maintaining high standards of material handling and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient processing and inventory accuracy.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate the warehouse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Manage timekeeping, including tracking PTO and coordinating with Payroll.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of warehouse inventory, maintaining high standards of material handling.
  • Analyze operational metrics in line with quality management systems, identifying and implementing improvement strategies.
  • Investigate discrepancies in inventory, conducting thorough analyses and corrective actions to maintain integrity.
  • Uphold stringent compliance with both customer and company policies, focusing on detail-oriented and productive workflows.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, providing clear feedback and direction to enhance efficiency and address operational challenges.
  • Maintain proactive communication with all levels of management and staff to ensure coordinated efforts.
  • Strategize staffing based on daily operational needs, contributing to optimal workforce planning.
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics, reporting on warehouse efficiency to support business objectives.
  • Engage with customers through various communication channels to uphold service excellence.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures to standardize operations.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of medical products or medical equipment/medical warehouse environment experience
  • 1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and experience with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting packages up to 50 pounds
  • Strong command of English, capable of following and giving clear written and verbal instructions
  • Independent worker, able to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
