About the position

The Direct Mail Marketing Manager at LendingClub will lead the development and execution of the Direct Mail channel strategy aimed at driving customer acquisition and repeat business across various banking products. This role requires a data-driven and analytical approach to target high-quality prospects effectively, manage a multimillion-dollar budget, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign success while adhering to compliance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive Direct Mail channel strategy to drive new customer acquisition, repeat business, and cross-sell across LendingClub products.
  • Oversee and manage large-scale direct mail channel with a multimillion dollar monthly budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, risk, finance, engineering, product, data & analytics) to align on campaign goals and execution.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to improve targeting, audience segmentation, and campaign outcomes.
  • Work closely with credit bureaus to procure audience files, optimize lists, and develop predictive machine learning models.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors, ensuring on-time production, budget control, and quality output for all creative assets.
  • Lead creative strategy and ongoing optimization with internal and external creative teams/agencies.
  • Lead campaign forecasting, including financial performance, cost, and revenue projections, while maintaining dashboards and KPIs.
  • Ensure all campaigns meet compliance, legal, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including a minimum of 5+ years in direct mail; bachelor's degree in a related field of study; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with researching and identifying customer needs.
  • Prior leadership in the design and execution of multi-channel growth-marketing campaigns to drive new customer acquisition and rapidly scaling user and revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of financial services and lending in the US market and the lifecycle of financial products, including compliance and legal considerations.
  • Proven ability to leverage data science and analytics to continuously test, iterate, and improve campaign performance.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing infrastructure, streamline processes, and improve growth marketing competency to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to maintain multiple projects without compromising results.
  • Led cross-functional go-to-market planning, execution, and optimization for new product launches.
