The Direct Mail Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for leading the overall service effort and day-to-day management of assigned low to mid-profile accounts. This role involves overseeing and assuring quality control on all phases of production, monitoring job progress to ensure that clients' expectations and goals are met. The coordinator will work closely with senior team members to determine client recommendations and solutions, ensuring that all objectives and strategies are implemented effectively. This position requires a proactive approach, including in-depth follow-up on mail reports and participation in production meetings to confirm on-time delivery, especially for jobs that may be mailing at night or on weekends. In addition to managing client accounts, the coordinator will check pre-flight art files before sending them to the printer, ensuring compliance with postal regulations and mailability. They will create quotes and jobs in application software, review hourly samples and printing proofs for accuracy, and develop mailing instructions for moderate programs. The coordinator will also create and coordinate production timelines with internal operations and vendors, attend press approvals, and assist with client and preproduction meetings. This role requires strong judgment in client communications and the ability to write complex data processing instructions while reviewing data processing work for accuracy. The Direct Mail Project Coordinator will assume responsibility for successfully executing assigned client-specific projects and tasks based on direction from their manager or director. This position is crucial in ensuring that all aspects of the direct mail process are handled efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the client's marketing efforts.
