About the position

KOMPAN U.S. is seeking a Direct Sales Representative to serve as the region's commercial playground and outdoor fitness equipment consultant. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling KOMPAN projects to industry targets by creating demand and building relationships within the designated territory. The Direct Sales Representative will operate from their home office, strategically leveraging opportunities for projects valued between $10K and $1M+, while contributing to KOMPAN's overarching strategy and culture. As a global leader, KOMPAN is dedicated to fostering happier and healthier communities through the delivery of top-tier play and fitness solutions. With over 50 years of experience, KOMPAN has been at the forefront of designing and building innovative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that engage individuals of all ages and abilities. Collaborating with our global headquarters in Denmark, KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs over 1,000 sites monthly across 90 countries. Our North American headquarters in Austin, Texas, supports field sales across the U.S. and Canada. KOMPAN is also committed to environmental sustainability, utilizing recycled materials to create eco-friendly playgrounds. This position offers a lucrative compensation plan, including a base salary, uncapped commissions, and exceptional benefits, alongside the opportunity to work with a passionate team that makes a direct impact on the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote KOMPAN playground and fitness equipment to industry targets in your region, becoming an expert in design and functionality.
  • Prospect, network, and build a pipeline through activity-based sales.
  • Leverage the CRM by targeting market segments such as schools, parks and recreation departments, municipalities, landscape architects, contractors, and housing developers.
  • Create product awareness and demand by articulating the world-class quality of KOMPAN equipment through presentations and industry events.
  • Prepare sales quotations and basic designs with the assistance of our highly supportive central team.
  • Ensure quality communication with customers throughout the sales process, from the design phase through installation and post-sale.

Requirements

  • College degree
  • Experience in long sales cycles and solution selling preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing a CRM system preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and project-management capabilities
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism
