About the position
The Direct Service Professional (DSP) role at Redwood Family Care Network involves providing care and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. The position emphasizes person-centered services and requires staff to assist clients with daily living skills, behavior management, and medication administration. The DSP will also be responsible for transporting members using a company van, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
Responsibilities
- Care and supervision of group home members.
- Assisting clients with daily living skills.
- Managing client behavior effectively.
- Administering medication as required.
- Transporting members using a company van.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- 1+ years of experience dealing with behaviors such as physical and verbal aggression.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background and Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Valid AZ driver's license and clean 39-month motor vehicle record.
Nice-to-haves
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Prevention and Support, Article 9, and DCW.
- Experience in Group Homes, DTA's, HCBS, or DTT's.
- Experience as a Direct Support Professional.
