About the position

This is a hybrid position that supports both the Transportation department and our Newfoundland Day Program. Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation for Pocono Center individuals
• Be responsible for supervision of individuals and seeing that their physical, emotional and personal needs are met
• Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting
• Support individuals throughout daily routine, including joining them in community outings
• Attend in-service training programs to develop skills
• Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Drivers License required
• One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred
• Empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement
• Ability to complete required new hire orientation class
• Strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs

• Experience in behavioral health and human services fields
