About the position

The Direct Support Professional II role at Redwood Family Care Network involves providing essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being. This position is focused on promoting a quality of life for clients through advocacy, personal care assistance, and engagement in social activities. Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in Individual Program Plans (IPP).
• Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the clients.
• Assist clients with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Transport clients in company vans as necessary.
• Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of professional or personal experience in caregiving, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 required.
• First Aid / CPR / CPI certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver's License.
