The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at BAYADA Home Health Care involves providing one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, etc.)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Engage clients in their favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
Requirements
- One year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD); training may be available through the apprentice program if experience is lacking
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
