About the position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Rise, Inc. involves providing on-the-job support and training to adults with disabilities at community work sites. The role requires analyzing job tasks, developing training techniques, and supervising daily operations to ensure compliance with program requirements. Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job support and training to adults with disabilities at community work sites.
  • Analyze job tasks and develop appropriate training techniques for those tasks.
  • Provide written reports and information on each individual served.
  • Supervise the daily operation of job sites consistent with program requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and individuals served.
  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and comply with safety policies.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other staff and site contacts.
  • Monitor SET site float calendar for current and future assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Use case-management software to complete required assessments and reports.
  • Track progress of individuals served in achieving their goals.
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on individual needs and employment site issues.
  • Assist individuals with self-care and support services as needed.
  • Provide transportation services as designated by the driving schedule.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Current, valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience practicing person-centered practices with people with disabilities.
  • Production/manufacturing experience.
