About the position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at Relieve Care involves providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP is responsible for supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and fostering a safe and supportive environment. This position requires a commitment to quality care and the ability to work flexible hours, including shifts that may vary from day to night.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments.
• Cook and serve meals for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Run errands for clients as needed.
• Provide companionship and develop rapport with residents.
• Facilitate and transport clients to community and recreational outings.
• Daily update of resident's chart and case notes in client records.
• Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skills building activities.
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents.

Requirements

• 0+ years' experience providing direct care to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to read and write.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Must be 18 years old or more with a valid driver's license.
• No previous criminal records.
