About the position
TriSource is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide assistance and support to adults with intellectual disabilities in various locations across Delaware County, PA. The role involves working flexible shifts, including day and evening hours, to help individuals participate in day programs and manage their daily activities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to adults with intellectual disabilities during day programs.
- Assist individuals in daily activities and promote independence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during shifts.
- Document and report any changes in client behavior or condition.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Valid Driver's License and valid car insurance.
- Experience in patient care or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors.
