About the position
Project Genesis, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide services as Companions and Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILST) within their Acquired Brain Injury Program. The role involves working one-on-one with individuals to help them improve their ability to live independently in the community, providing non-medical care, supervision, and socialization according to each client's service plan. This position offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time work across various locations in Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Deliver services as Companions and Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILST) within the Acquired Brain Injury Program.
- Work one-on-one with individuals to help improve their ability to live independently in the community.
- Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization in accordance with the client's service plan.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- For ILST: 2 years experience working with ABI with High School Diploma or Equivalent OR 1 year experience working with ABI with Bachelor's degree, experience must be within the last 5 years.
