About the position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Sevita plays a crucial role in providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP will build meaningful relationships with the individuals they serve and work collaboratively with a mission-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants in achieving their developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Help individuals engage in community activities and enjoy their favorite pastimes.
• Provide support to individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Must be 18+)
• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and multi-task effectively.
• Teamwork and time-management skills.

• Experience in caregiving or human services.
