About the position
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Orion Solutions LLC is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of consumers with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and behavioral health histories. The DSP facilitates healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while assisting clients in achieving their clinical assignments and participating in daily living activities. This role requires coordination with clinical staff and a commitment to the organization's values.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision of individuals in accordance with their Person-Centered Support Plan
- Administer medication as needed
- Support consumers in activities of daily living such as meal preparation, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Assist in community integration activities and access to community supports including medical appointments and social security access
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Basic computer and internet literacy
- Prior experience in the human services field is preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in direct support for 1 year
- Computer skills for 1 year
