We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support and care to individuals with varying needs. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor patients' health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Support clients in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals while respecting resident rights.
• Lift and transfer clients safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
• Assist with recreational activities and encourage participation in social events.
• Document care provided and any significant observations in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in long-term care or as a nurse is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and care plan implementation is essential.
• CPR certification is highly desirable; training may be provided if necessary.
• Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining dignity in care.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be physically capable of lifting clients safely and performing tasks that require mobility.
