About the position

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Robin Hill Farm, you will be instrumental in supporting and caring for residents, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. This role involves providing passionate assistance and supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of residents while contributing to the smooth operation of the program. You will act as a positive role model and advocate, working closely with residents, families, and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring.
• Assist in fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates.
• Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
• Encourage self-help activities.
• Accompany clients to scheduled appointments.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external.
