About the position

The Director of Advancement Services & Operations at Regis University plays a pivotal role in overseeing the data management aspects of the advancement services department. Reporting directly to the AVP of Advancement Services & Operations, this position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of CRM data, managing reporting and compliance, and coordinating with the Finance department for gift reconciliation and audit compliance. The Director will work closely with various Advancement groups to develop segmented lists and reports essential for donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation strategies. This role is integral to maintaining a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and excellence within the Advancement team, which is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with alumni and donors. In addition to data management, the Director will implement data integrity validation processes and design metrics to measure progress towards data hygiene improvement goals. The position also involves supervising the gift administrator and data technician, training advancement staff on data standards, and coordinating with external consulting firms to support data maintenance efforts. The Director will oversee technology onboarding and training for the Advancement team, ensuring optimal use of tools such as Salesforce NPSP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Asana for project management. This role is crucial for maintaining project documentation and timelines, ensuring that all projects progress in a timely manner, and that the department adheres to best practices for constituent data management. Responsibilities

  • Develop segmented lists and reports for donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation strategies in consultation with various Advancement groups.
  • Implement data integrity validation processes and design metrics for measuring progress toward data hygiene improvement goals.
  • Serve on data standards and CRM module administer committees representing University Advancement.
  • Supervise the gift administrator and data technician, ensuring validation and oversight of gifts and constituent data entry and maintenance.
  • Train advancement staff on constituent data standards and reporting to ensure high data integrity.
  • Coordinate and oversee work with external consulting firms for data maintenance and hygiene efforts.
  • Maintain project request documentation and timelines, ensuring projects are progressing and completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee technology and policy onboarding and training efforts for the University Advancement team on best practices for constituent data management.
  • Serve as primary technology lead for the department, ensuring optimal use of Salesforce NPSP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Asana.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of progressively responsible professional experience related to the area of assignment, including two years of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a nonprofit or university development office is highly preferred.
  • Experience with complex constituent relations management systems is required, with Salesforce NPSP experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of organizational business processes, management systems, and operational priorities.
