About the position

The Director of Affiliate Relations at NAMI Tennessee is responsible for enhancing the organizational capacity of local NAMI affiliates, fostering teamwork, and supporting the Executive Director and staff. This role involves providing consultation and technical assistance to affiliates, overseeing outreach efforts, and collaborating with various teams within the organization. The position requires strong leadership and management skills to drive program development and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and support to local NAMI affiliates across Tennessee.
• Oversee community outreach efforts and collaborate with programming teams.
• Manage fiscal responsibilities including budget management and reporting.
• Develop new revenue streams and support fundraising initiatives.
• Engage in strategic planning and organizational development activities.
• Serve as a liaison between NAMI National and local affiliates.
• Lead marketing, public relations, and mental health advocacy efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, business, communication, non-profit leadership, or a comparable field.
• Experience with non-profit governance and organizational development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and TEAMS.
• Experience in program development and community outreach.
• Fiscal management skills, including budget management and decision-making.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with peer, family, or systems mental health.
• Familiarity with fundraising, events, and donor relations.
