About the position

The Director of Airport Planning & Facilities at Frontier Airlines is responsible for overseeing airport planning and the management of facilities projects within the company's network. This role involves strategic planning, negotiation of agreements, and ensuring that airport facilities align with the company's operational and growth objectives. The director will lead a team in representing the company in dealings with airport operators and will be instrumental in securing necessary resources for the airline's operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee airport planning and affairs, ensuring alignment with operational plans.
• Lead negotiations for Use and Lease agreements with local governments and other airlines.
• Strategically plan and execute initiatives to support the company's network and growth plans.
• Prepare budget projections and seek opportunities for increased efficiencies.
• Administer leases and ensure compliance with SOX controls.
• Collaborate with airports to understand annual rate setting and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Manage capital expenditure portfolio for corporate facilities and oversee large-scale projects.
• Conduct RFPs and negotiate facilities agreements.
• Coordinate space planning for headquarters projects to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor industry developments and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal, or Aviation Management; Master's degree preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Management experience with emphasis on lease/contract negotiation and strategic planning.
• Budget and forecast experience.
• Relevant experience with airline or aviation real estate transactions.
• Thorough understanding of the aviation industry, including budgeting and project management.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in financial modeling and SOX compliance.
• Strong negotiation skills for complex arrangements.
