About the position

The Director, AMER Strategy & Operations at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive operational excellence and support the rapid growth of the business. This role involves analyzing historical results, evolving forecasting models, and partnering with senior leadership to make data-driven recommendations. The director will lead a large organization, manage business processes, and enhance reporting tools to optimize business functions and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategy for AMER Strategy & Operations.
  • Continuously evolve forecasting models and analyze historic results.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the VP AMER, making recommendations based on analyses.
  • Drive the management cadence of the business including OP1/2; 2x2; and reporting.
  • Manage proposal, administration, and execution of regional targets and goals.
  • Lead a multi-layered organization including operations, sales strategy, and customer enablement teams.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategy and run management cadence.
  • Design, develop, and maintain forecasting models, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Lead initiatives across the WW Operations group and participate actively.
  • Provide routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role in Finance, Sales Operations, or Business Development.
  • Proven experience with CRM, sales compensation, revenue reporting, and forecasting systems.
  • Expert level in Excel and data query tools.
  • Strong business-process design experience.
  • Exhibits sound business judgment and strong analytical skills.
  • Able to operate successfully in a fast-paced organization.
