A Senior Director Analyst leverages their experience and dives deep into research and analysis of data to develop strategies that help clients solve problems and improve their company's performance. As a more senior member of the analyst team, they also play a hand in supporting junior analyst development and leading research discussions and collaboration. A Senior Director Analyst is also a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner's value every day by engaging clients via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, sales support, and events to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations. About the Role: We're looking for a Senior Director Analyst to help HR Leaders (i.e., Chief Human Resources Officers, Chief People Officers, Talent Management Leaders) understand and drive their HR Technology strategies and initiatives, while also working with Technology Leaders to identify, select, and boost the effectiveness of HR and Talent Management Technologies. Gartner HR Technology research conducts primary and secondary research on a range of topics including, but not limited to, HR Technology strategies, systems, and applications (supporting in areas such as Human Capital Management (HCM), Talent Management, Employee Experience, Compensation & Benefits, Rewards & Recognition, Payroll, and other core HR functions) as well as critical vendors in the field. Our advice helps senior leaders at hundreds of client organizations spanning every major industry vertical and region get foresight to manage complex market dynamics. If you've got significant HR function and/or technology leadership responsibility and are eager to write research and advise senior leaders--outside of a traditional consulting engagement model--then this is the role for you. Extensive knowledge of HR Tech landscape, market dynamics, vendors, and products. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing HR Technology strategies, systems, and applications. Skilled advisor on HR Technology to HR leaders, driving digital transformation and owning HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research across a broad range of HR Tech topics, including strategies, initiatives, systems and applications for HR and Talent, market, and vendor coverage.
  • Provide direction to senior leaders in prospect and client conversations.
  • Create materials for and deliver both face-to-face and virtual presentations and discussions with individuals and groups of senior leaders.
  • Help rapidly expand the HR Tech market and dynamics coverage for a high-growth practice area and very engaged, diverse team.
  • Ensure integrity of our research and maintain Gartner independence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or experience as an HR Technology leader.
  • Deep understanding of the HR Tech landscape (including Talent Management and other core functions), including market dynamics, vendors, products, and strategies.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing HR Technology strategies, initiatives, systems, and applications in individual organizations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR functions and Talent Management.
  • Strong writing skills, and ability to take feedback and provide peer review to others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-motivated manner but within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts both concisely and simply to senior talent and business leaders.
  • Strong willingness to challenge conventional norms and views, persistence, and intellectual curiosity to evaluate leading approaches.
  • Comfort and confidence presenting at small and large speaking engagements.
