The UMass Chan-Lahey Regional Campus Medical School is seeking an innovative and strategic individual to serve as the inaugural Director of the Lahey Institute for Healthcare Delivery Science and Associate Dean for Research. This position is pivotal in establishing a transformative and collaborative partnership between Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and UMass Chan Medical School, aimed at advancing population health, digital medicine, and health systems science through a Learning Health System approach. The successful candidate will lead the Lahey Institute for Healthcare Delivery Science, which is dedicated to advancing research and innovation in healthcare delivery across the entire continuum of care. This role will involve integrating research, education, clinical practice, and community engagement to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the broader understanding of healthcare delivery and interventions. The Director will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous discovery and improvement within the Institute. They will leverage a team science approach to advance research initiatives and will be expected to have a strong record of NIH, AHRQ, PCORI, or similar funding. The ideal candidate will have an established record of excellence in research related to health outcomes, care delivery models, and/or population health, along with experience in education, mentorship, and academic administration. This position also requires demonstrated achievements in health services research, comparative effectiveness, pragmatic clinical trials, implementation science, or other related fields of healthcare delivery science.
