About the position

ITT Control Technologies business unit is searching for an HR Director to partner with the Control Technologies Leadership Team. This individual will be the primary strategic HR Business Partner for the Control Technologies business unit. The position has dual reporting into the CCT VP, HR and VP Control Technologies and is located in Orchard Park, NY. Responsibilities include the development and tactical execution of the HR Strategy in support of delivering business strategic plans and enterprise initiatives. Proactively consults with clients and recommends HR strategic solutions to improve critical business outcomes - acts as a change agent. As an integral thought partner to the business Leadership team, the HR Director will develop strategic HR plans in support of the business strategy and overall enterprise initiatives. This role will focus on the implementation of talent and DEI strategy to grow the talent pipeline and ensure the organization has the right talent at the right time to deliver results. There will be a strong emphasis on building and developing the next generation talent pipeline across the business. The HR Director will provide coaching, guidance, and training to build leadership capabilities of the leadership team, including succession planning, and ensure tactical execution of strategic plans. The HR Director will leverage their influencing skills to drive results in a fast-paced, matrix, and complex environment. They will utilize their organizational development expertise to shape the culture, drive organizational growth, team effectiveness, change management, and leadership development. Additionally, the HR Director will apply analytical and critical thinking skills to develop solutions to business and people issues, partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support enterprise people priorities and initiatives. They will also advise managers on complex employee relations issues such as discipline, coaching, and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic HR plans in support of the business strategy and overall enterprise initiatives.
  • Implement talent and DEI strategy to grow the talent pipeline.
  • Build and develop next generation talent pipeline across the business.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to build leadership capabilities of the leadership team, including succession planning.
  • Ensure tactical execution of strategic plans.

  • Shape the culture, drive organizational growth, team effectiveness, change management, and leadership development.
  • Develop solutions to business and people issues using analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Advise managers on complex employee relations issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 7 years of people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence, lead and transform.
  • Understanding of key business and financial drivers and demonstrated strong delivery of HR results.
  • Multi-functional experience working in a matrix environment, supporting multiple functional groups and working across multiple employee populations.
