About the position

The Director of IT Applications - ServiceNow at NorthShore University Health System is responsible for leading the development, testing, configuration, optimization, and implementation of technology solutions within the organization. This role encompasses full life cycle management, from strategic planning to the launch of solutions, with a focus on enhancing patient and user experience while reducing manual efforts. The director will foster relationships with stakeholders to align technology with organizational goals and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end activities for the assigned solutions portfolio and develop high-performance teams.
  • Provide direction for solution implementation including planning, technical setup, building, testing, training, deployment, optimizing, and support.
  • Establish relationships with domain leaders to understand strategic business needs and user requirements.
  • Lead or participate in governance committees to collaborate with key stakeholders about priority and workload.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure systems and solutions meet the needs of Endeavor Health.
  • Mentor direct reports in areas such as budget management, policy development, talent management, and governance activities.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and promote their implementation.
  • Develop partnerships with other leaders to identify synergies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for assigned areas and identify opportunities for technology and process improvement.
  • Independently resolve complex human resource, technical, or communication issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in managing processes, applications, or systems in a healthcare setting or relevant industries.
  • Three or more years of leadership experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in managing processes, applications, or systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system or relevant related industries.
  • Five or more years of leadership experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience using and/or with the portfolio of responsibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of information processing fundamentals.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects efficiently.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking for problem solving.
  • Focus on people and active engagement in recruitment and retention.
