About the position

The Director of Applied AI Engineering at CDK is responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative AI/ML solutions embedded within core products. This role focuses on driving AI initiatives that enhance customer experience and business outcomes through collaboration with product and technology leaders. The position requires a strong AI leader with a customer-centric mindset and a solid background in AI/ML innovation, delivery, and operationalization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI Value Engineering and AI Center of Excellence at CDK.
• Build and lead a team to develop, deploy, and manage state-of-the-art AI/ML models in production.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on AI/ML disciplines and provide thought leadership on emerging trends.
• Collaborate with product teams to establish and deliver AI roadmaps across multiple focus areas.
• Oversee the manifestation of AI roadmaps for various focus areas across CDK's businesses.
• Determine technologies, services, toolkits, data structures, and methodologies to achieve AI objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, MBA, or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience in advanced analytics, research, modeling/data science, or relevant fields.
• Leadership experience in AI and ML teams that enabled innovation and business outcomes.
• Strong record in delivering machine learning and/or data products, including defining ML problems and scaling prototypes to production.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with remote and distributed teams.
