The Director of ASC Operations is a pivotal role within the Virtua Joint Venture centers, reporting directly to the VP of ASC Development. This position is responsible for ensuring that the ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) meet all regulatory and budgetary metrics. The Director will work closely with the center's leadership team to foster a self-sufficient and efficient operational environment. This includes overseeing various processes such as front-end registration, medical credentialing, coding, transcription, accounts receivables, monthly financial reporting, supply chain management, and vendor relationships. The role also encompasses service and supply contracting, physician relations, clinical care, customer satisfaction, and business development. In this capacity, the Director will develop strategies to address operational concerns within each center, acting as a liaison between Virtua Senior Leadership and the ASC leadership teams. The Director will partner with the Board and Medical Director to establish key performance measures and quality metrics, evaluating outcomes to ensure the centers are operating at optimal levels. Additionally, the Director will facilitate business planning and growth initiatives, including market share development and vendor relationship management to support group purchasing organization (GPO) formation and capital supply needs. Compliance with legal and regulatory agencies is a critical aspect of this role, and the Director will actively participate in governing body meetings as required. Maintaining ongoing relationships with physician investors and providing interim Administrator support are also key responsibilities. The Director is expected to create a collaborative and supportive professional environment among staff, physicians, centers, and Virtua, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned in their goals and operations.
