About the position

The Director of Asian Marketing is a pivotal role within the Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise, reporting directly to the Vice President of Asian Marketing. This position is primarily responsible for the strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives aimed at the Table Games customer segment. The incumbent will oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on maximizing total theoretical revenue and profit, as well as achieving targets for actual revenue and player quotas. The role requires a deep understanding of the Asian market, including cultural nuances and preferences, to effectively engage and attract customers from this demographic. In addition to strategic oversight, the Director will be tasked with analyzing the effectiveness of marketing programs and events, utilizing data-driven insights to refine and enhance future initiatives. This includes maintaining and managing databases to track customer engagement and marketing performance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a diverse team, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high performance and accountability. The position demands strong leadership skills, as the Director will be expected to coordinate various Asian events and work closely with both staff and patrons to ensure a seamless experience. Proficiency in both Chinese Mandarin and English is essential, with additional language skills in Vietnamese or Korean considered a significant advantage. The role requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the dynamic nature of the gaming industry, as well as frequent travel to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Five years of marketing and gaming management experience in the casino industry.
  • Fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English, with the ability to read and write in both languages.
  • Familiarity with Asian culture and languages, with additional languages such as Vietnamese and Korean being a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess marketing program effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff and patrons.
  • Proficiency in department-specific computer programs.
