We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Audit Manager to join our Asset Servicing, Digital and Corporate Trust Team within Internal Audit. This role is located in New York, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; or Lake Mary, FL - Hybrid role (3 days in the office). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: You will manage all audit activities for a large business (or businesses) and lead a team of audit professionals responsible for assessing the quality and effectiveness of risk management and internal controls. You will develop and maintain senior management and regulatory relationships, ensuring the quality of your group's work and the implementation of divisional initiatives and goals. As an expert resource, you will lead others in creating and maintaining accurate and clear work documents, completing tasks on time, on budget, and accurately, while quickly learning new businesses, processes, and regulations. You will apply diverse experience across businesses, specialties, or countries to bring a multi-faceted view and objective judgment to the role. Your knowledge and experience in investment services, issuer services, or digital businesses and corresponding regulatory rules will be crucial. You will perform risk-focused fieldwork in accordance with Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards to identify meaningful issues, risks, and other exposures in the area of the company being audited. Drawing on your extensive experience and/or specialist skills, you will plan and deliver audits, applying advanced analytical problem-solving skills and leading others in solving complex issues and identifying innovative solutions. You will identify inconsistencies with the control environment, regulatory requirements, and best practices, initiating the development of a structure or solution to address the issues. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for the use of automation and actively participate in advancing recommendations for software support requests, while being responsible for setting and monitoring the achievement of team goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant critical thinking specialty.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other Risk Management certifications preferred.
  • 12-15 years of total work experience, with 5-8 years of management experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in investment services or issuer services audit required.
  • In-depth knowledge of audit methodologies.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, confident in communicating with stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Understanding of the applied and interpretation of analytics results for Audit.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in contributing to the overall effectiveness and value of a department.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of investment services, issuer services, or digital businesses and corresponding regulatory rules.
  • Strong knowledge and use of Excel and other Microsoft software - PowerPoint, Word, Visio.
