About the position

The Director, Benefits Strategy at ADP is a senior leadership role focused on enhancing the benefits strategy within the TotalSource organization. This position involves collaborating with broker partners and internal teams to drive growth in new business, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The role emphasizes relationship management, accountability, and operationalizing strategies for success in the benefits landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement activities with ADPTS Broker partners for TotalSource Sales & Service Organizations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Sales and Service leadership, including Sales Division Vice Presidents and Region General Managers.
  • Coordinate monthly market reviews with broker partners to identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct recurring engagement activities to drive retention and persistency across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Carrier Account Managers to provide insights on product portfolios and market opportunities.
  • Own the delivery of service and sales strategies, ensuring coordinated efforts across brokers and internal partners.
  • Evaluate BRET & quotation data to identify trends and define next best actions.
  • Review client loss data to understand key drivers and develop market strategies with brokers.
  • Support the growth and development of Sales Consultants and collaborate on sales/service training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years benefits industry knowledge and background.
  • Experience in matrix managing vendor field representatives.
  • Strong collaboration skills with Sales and Service partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, time management, project management, and change management skills.
  • Proven track record in developing and coaching direct reports and teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Understanding of health benefits and market dynamics.
  • Experience influencing a sales organization.
  • Knowledge of the PEO and small group competitive landscape.
  • Sales background or experience.
  • Understanding of risk management and new business health pricing.
