About the position

The Director, Benefits Strategy at ADP is a senior leadership role focused on enhancing the benefits strategy within the TotalSource organization. This position involves collaborating with broker partners and internal teams to drive growth in new business, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The role emphasizes relationship management with both sales and service organizations, aiming to optimize resources and foster teamwork to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Sales Organization to understand sales quotas and objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead monthly market reviews with broker partners to identify pressure points and growth opportunities.
  • Engage with the Service Organization to drive retention and persistency across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Carrier Account Managers to understand product portfolios and provide insights for market opportunities.
  • Own the delivery of service and sales strategies, ensuring coordinated efforts across brokers and communication with field partners.
  • Support the growth and development of Sales Consultants and evaluate market strategies with brokers.
  • Proactively evaluate data to identify trends and define next best actions for sales and service.
  • Review client loss data to understand key drivers and support the development of market strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of benefits industry knowledge and background.
  • Experience in matrix managing vendor field representatives.
  • Strong collaboration skills to interface with Sales and Service partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, time management, project management, and change management skills.
  • Proven track record in developing and coaching direct reports and teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Understanding of health benefits and market dynamics.
  • Experience navigating and influencing a sales organization.
  • Understanding of the PEO and small group competitive landscape.
  • Sales background or experience.
  • Ability to use data to build a story and make strategic business decisions.
