About the position

The Data Engineer Lead at Asset Management Technologies is responsible for leading a team focused on developing blockchain data solutions tailored for partners in the financial services sector. This role emphasizes improving data quality and applying sound engineering principles in blockchain, database, and ETL development, testing, and code deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in blockchain, database, and ETL development.
• Develop and support blockchain data solutions for financial services partners.
• Improve data quality and implement sound engineering principles.
• Collaborate with analysts and business partners to understand business problems.
• Design and develop quality solutions that align with technology standards.
• Participate in innovation days, code, and design reviews.

Requirements

• B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Substantial knowledge of blockchain and crypto-based analytics in a financial services environment.
• 7+ years of experience with relational database technology, data engineering, and ETL/ELT skills.
• 7+ years of professional experience with Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, or other blockchain platforms.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and blockchain protocols.
• Experience with Linux shell scripts and job scheduling tools like Control-M/Autosys.
• Ability to develop Data APIs to support varied application requirements.
• Experience with AWS services, Snowflake, and Python.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to GitHub and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of finance and investing domains.
• Experience with diverse blockchain and distributed ledger implementations like Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, Polygon, Solana, Stellar.
