About the position

As the Director of Brand Marketing at EssilorLuxottica, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy for our luxury eyewear brands. This position requires a visionary leader who can provide top-level direction to maximize business results and enhance brand image. You will oversee the development and execution of fully integrated marketing strategies that not only drive business growth but also elevate the brand's presence in the market. Your leadership will guide and motivate a talented marketing team, ensuring that all members are aligned with the company's goals and objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive brand strategies and marketing/business plans. You will provide strategic leadership to drive both short and long-term brand growth and profitability. This includes performing thorough market and competitive analyses, as well as analyzing sales and distribution results to identify key issues, trends, and opportunities. Your insights will support the formulation of recommendations for business and marketing plans, as well as promotional strategies. You will also be tasked with identifying key priorities and effective solutions based on critical business opportunities and threats. As the Marketing Director, you will have full accountability for the brand's top and bottom line, as well as the marketing budget. Collaboration is key in this role; you will influence and work closely with senior-level stakeholders to align on company and brand goals. Additionally, you will partner with various teams, including Corporate Brand Teams and Luxottica US teams, to define and execute marketing plans that drive brand and business goals. Your ability to manage, coach, and develop team members will be essential to fostering a high-performing marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Brand(s) strategy and marketing/business plans.
  • Provide strategic leadership to drive both short and long-term brand growth and profitability.
  • Perform market and competitive analyses as well as analysis of sales and distribution results to identify key issues, trends, and opportunities.
  • Identify key priorities and effective solutions based on critical business opportunities & threats.
  • Responsible for top and bottom line of the brand as well as for the marketing budget.
  • Influence and collaborate with senior level stakeholders to align on company and brand goals.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Brand Teams and Luxottica US teams to define and execute marketing plans.
  • Work closely with Luxottica Wholesale North America Sales Teams to develop, monitor and drive brand and business goals.
  • Partner with the Trade Marketing Team to develop strategies, plans and materials for the trade.
  • Work with the Public Relations team to develop strategies, plans and materials for consumer press.
  • Manage, coach and develop team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business
  • 10+ years of marketing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to represent the organization effectively to clients and external groups, including licensors
  • High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities as required
  • High level of knowledge of budgeting cost estimating and fiscal management principles and procedures
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
  • Ability to create and maintain a professional relationship and line of communication with all business contacts, sales force and customers
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (minimum of one retail visit every quarter)
