About the position

The Director of Business Data Analysis at AIG is responsible for supporting the company's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Program. This role involves collaborating with various business partners to ensure alignment and adoption of KPIs, assisting in the development of business requirements for KPI reports, and coordinating the production of monthly KPI reports. The position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage small projects, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support AIG's KPI Program by understanding approved KPI definitions.
• Work closely with business partners in Finance, Operations, Underwriting, etc., to ensure alignment and adoption of KPIs.
• Assist in building business requirements for KPI reports and enhancements by liaising between business partners and technical teams.
• Coordinate the production of monthly KPI reports.
• Respond to and fulfill ad hoc KPI data requests from business partners.
• Assist in decommissioning legacy or redundant KPI reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, business analysis, or data analysis.
• Degree from a four-year college or university.
• Understanding of programming and statistical tools.
• Advanced understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry.
• Knowledge in the commercial insurance domain is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Strong problem-solving ability with structured thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to distill complex business information into actionable insights.
