About the position

This position manages Cash Operations at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, playing a crucial role in defining and implementing strategies to achieve high-priority objectives for the department and the system. The role involves overseeing all units within the operation, focusing on business performance improvement, project management, customer support, and vendor relationship management. It requires leadership in day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving innovation while managing risks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple functional units by providing oversight to day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure adherence to custody controls, Treasury policies, and Bank procedures.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality procedures to meet business requirements.
  • Provide leadership to operations management to meet cost, productivity, and quality targets.
  • Participate in budget reviews and decisions.
  • Drive innovation while managing risk.
  • Assume a leadership role in the Cash business for local and System initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and maintain contact with key stakeholders.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing work team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and communicate salary actions.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of related experience in operations management.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methods and risk analysis.
  • Ability to think strategically to develop and achieve long-term objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, project, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
