About the position

The Director of Central Operations at Main Street Renewal is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Utility Management and Recurring Services. This position focuses on designing and managing high-volume service functions critical to the company's success in the single-family rental industry. The ideal candidate will excel in process design, optimization, and performance management, while leading a diverse team across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee daily operations of Utility Management and Recurring Services.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement business strategies and initiatives.
  • Work with Senior Managers and Supervisors to align efforts with strategic goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of current projects to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Identify performance variances and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Establish and uphold work standards and efficient workflows.
  • Engage with stakeholders to execute long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and set goals and KPIs for the team.
  • Analyze problems and make timely recommendations for solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and influence business decisions positively.
  • Leverage technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Employ root cause analysis to refine processes and support improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in a professional field with management experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in property management or central operations within an institutional real estate management firm is ideal.
  • Bachelor's degree in multi- or single-family residential real estate or a related field.
  • Previous experience managing international teams is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; familiarity with Salesforce and Yardi is a plus.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and collaboration.
