About the position

The Director of CFO Services at A&M is responsible for providing strategic financial solutions to private equity-held portfolio companies. This role focuses on enhancing business performance, improving cash flow and EBITDA, and ensuring that portfolio companies have credible financial plans. The Director will lead projects that involve liquidity optimization, strategic analytics, performance measurement, and business transformation, while also engaging with senior management to drive actionable plans and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop hypotheses and scope for client projects.
  • Facilitate information gathering and client interviews to ensure comprehensive data collection.
  • Define necessary analyses to validate assumptions and ensure timely execution.
  • Apply industry knowledge to identify key business drivers and issues.
  • Create frameworks based on project parameters and develop actionable conclusions from analyses.
  • Lead components of projects across multiple service lines and manage smaller projects independently.
  • Proactively manage client expectations and mitigate risks during projects.
  • Design initiatives to enhance cash generation and EBITDA improvements.
  • Anticipate potential risks and develop contingency plans while communicating with clients.
  • Collaborate with senior management to obtain buy-in on actionable plans.
  • Leverage industry expertise to guide teams and promote innovative thinking.
  • Take accountability for issues identified by clients and teams.
  • Build complementary teams by utilizing individual talents and capabilities.
  • Achieve complete proficiency in financial modeling and analysis of financial statements.
  • Drive accountability for P&L and balance sheet management.
  • Utilize tools for change management and streamline financial processes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • Over 12 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Complete proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and presentation skills.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master's Degree preferred but not required.
