About the position

The Director Chain Accounts at Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is a senior-level role responsible for leading chain account activities, developing sales and marketing strategies, and managing relationships with major chains. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective market strategies and operational management, ultimately driving sales growth and enhancing the company's presence in the wine and spirits industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales and marketing plans by forecasting conditions, defining objectives and strategies, and securing resources.
  • Evaluate performance by measuring and reporting results, correcting performance, and administering policies and procedures.
  • Organize chain account activities by streamlining processes, coordinating business activities, and expanding best practices.
  • Provide thought leadership and discuss chain issues at sales meetings.
  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts and scheduling of products.
  • Expedite dealer problems in areas of pricing and delivery.
  • Participate in product display design and pricing of units.
  • Maintain sales logs and generate monthly sales reports.
  • Develop relationships at executive management levels to promote RNDC's value to chains.
  • Develop key relationships for education, strategic sales, and critical issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Five or more years of related experience, including five years in sales management with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and spirits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Continual and current certificates and CEU relating to management training.
  • Previous experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
  • WSET certifications.
