About the position

The Director, Chief of Staff for Cloud Ops Resilience Engineering (CORE) is a pivotal role that supports senior leadership in executing strategic initiatives while ensuring operational excellence. This position involves partnering with the VP+ Leadership team to develop and sustain strategies in four key areas: Strategy, Operational Excellence, Organizational Culture, and Communications. The Chief of Staff will play a crucial role in enhancing the daily operations and development of engineers, while also advancing the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for the CORE leadership team, guiding operations and management.
  • Act as a central point of contact between the CORE leadership team, CORE Insights & Analytics team, peer Chiefs of Staff, and other key partners to ensure alignment.
  • Prioritize key areas for leaders, aiding in strategic planning and uncovering efficiencies.
  • Lead the Leadership team in driving and tracking goals and priorities, solving issues through escalation.
  • Create and manage effective processes to manage operating rhythms and inject new operational processes.
  • Work closely with business units to align operations with strategy and coordinate with product teams.
  • Plan and execute key messages with the communications team for internal and external audiences.
  • Lead initiatives focused on culture and improving organizational engagement.
  • Oversee CORE-wide associate engagement and enablement strategy in partnership with HR and other partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Program Management
  • At least 3 years of experience managing executive level stakeholders across different business functions
  • At least 4 years of experience working with cross-functional teams
  • At least 3 years of experience partnering with engineering teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management or STEM-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in people management
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy development
  • 3+ years of experience in budgeting and labor strategy
  • 3+ years of experience driving organizational change and operational excellence
