About the position

The Director, Chief of Staff for the Digital Transformation (DT) team at Mastercard plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Digital Transformation and her leadership team. This position is essential for ensuring efficient operations, driving alignment, and enabling decision-making within the team. The Digital Transformation team's mission is to empower Mastercard to optimize and realize the full potential of its solutions, including monetizing the value delivered to clients and partners. This role involves close collaboration with various business leads across the Core Payments and the larger Mastercard organization, including Services, CNPF, Regional teams, Finance, P&C, Communications, Marketing, TECH, and Legal. In this capacity, the Director will be responsible for supporting the execution of strategic priorities by developing executive presentations and messaging for internal audiences, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Governance meetings, and business updates. The role also requires shaping external-facing narratives backed by strong analytics and product knowledge. The Director will manage and coordinate regular engagements on Digital Transformation priorities between the global Digital Transformation team and the Regional Core Payment teams, ensuring operational excellence in business reporting and identifying insights for meaningful recommendations. Additionally, the Director will lead the implementation of employee communication and engagement initiatives, partnering with the P&C team to support diversity and inclusion initiatives. The role demands tackling complex business problems, uncovering root causes, and translating findings into actionable recommendations. The Director will also lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely execution of key objectives while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the Digital Transformation strategic priorities by collaborating closely with business leads and across the Mastercard organization.
  • Develop executive presentations and messaging for internal audiences, including Quarterly Business Reviews and Governance meetings.
  • Shape external-facing narratives with strong analytic support and product knowledge.
  • Manage and coordinate regular engagements on Digital Transformation priorities between the global team and Regional Core Payment teams.
  • Drive business reporting ensuring operational excellence, including coordinating updates into Core Payments QOR and Earnings activities.
  • Lead implementation of employee communication and engagement initiatives, partnering with the P&C team to support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Tackle complex business problems, uncover root causes, and develop solutions with specific recommendations for action.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely execution of key objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in executive/leadership communications and business reporting, translating strategies to execution plans.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to storyboard and develop visually compelling presentations with clear logic and structure.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, proficient in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intellectually curious with an entrepreneurial attitude and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to influence with authority and proactively address potential issues.
