About the position

Logistics at full potential. At GXO, we're constantly looking for talented individuals at all levels who can deliver the caliber of service our company requires. You know that a positive work environment creates happy employees, which boosts productivity and dedication. On our team, you'll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of. As the Director, Chief of Staff, you will act as the AMAPAC President's right hand, providing support in various areas to ensure success in all areas of the President's dealings. The primary duties include overseeing overall operational activities on behalf of the President, tracking and orchestrating performance management processes to ensure business execution, managing escalations, aggregating information, and driving strategic projects to provide relevant information to support decision making. In this role, you will build immaculate reports, briefings, and presentations, establishing standards for President presentations to ensure effective, high-quality information sharing and decision making. You will coordinate, prepare, and facilitate internal and external communication on behalf of the President, linking the leadership team and the broader organization. Making routine operational decisions within your scope of authority will be part of your daily tasks, as well as tracking and orchestrating performance management processes to ensure business execution. You will drive Regional Priority Plans, ensuring workstream leaders and projects are properly synchronized, deliverables tracked, and escalations provided to aid decision making. Additionally, you will organize Executive procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity, support the decision-making process by providing insights with a wide-ranging view, and set and monitor Executive key performance indicators to measure and improve team performance. Working behind the scenes, you will find solutions to problems and deal with issues before they are brought to the President. Creating timely and accurate briefings on various topics of interest for the President and integrating information from multiple sources to develop actionable intelligence and recommendations in support of Executive business requirements will also be key responsibilities. You will serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to the President, standing in on meetings, challenging ideas, offering a different perspective, and following up on action items with the team accordingly. Consulting with other leadership team members and serving as a sounding board to them will ensure efficiency and productivity, while you provide analysis, recommendations, and options to the CEO regarding high-impact decisions. Lastly, managing the President's brand and reputation will be an essential part of your role.
