About the position

The Director, Chief of Staff for the Enterprise Risk Organization (ERO) plays a pivotal role in leading governance and oversight for senior management committees and Board activities. This position supports broader ERO efforts in strategy, reporting, and culture, requiring a highly motivated risk management professional with strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will partner with senior leaders to implement innovative solutions for risk identification and mitigation, making a significant impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of the Executive Risk Committee (ERC) and Technology, Operational, Compliance, and Cyber (TOCC) processes.
  • Manage the quarterly Integrated Risk Management Report (IRMR) for the Board of Directors and oversee additional ERO inputs for Board meetings.
  • Lead the data-driven ERO Imperatives action plan and support ongoing prioritization work in ERM.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement opportunities and ERO-wide initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance processes, tools, templates, and job aids.
  • Create executive-ready presentations and materials for Chief Risk Officer attestation.
  • Partner with External Affairs to draft Regulator preparation documents for the Chief Enterprise Risk Officer (CERO).
  • Support the ERO chief of staff in building an ERO management system.
  • Collaborate with Credit and Financial Risk Management (CFRM) chief of staff partners on ERO-wide projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management or process management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in staff management or staff training.
  • At least 3 years of experience in organizational development or performance development.
  • At least 2 years of experience in budget management.
  • At least 2 years in strategy consulting or advisory services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation.
  • Experience in a Chief of Staff or critical Project Management role in a large, complex organization.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Communications planning and development.
  • At least 4 years of experience supporting senior executives and leadership.
  • At least 4 years of experience in HR or associate engagement roles.
