About the position

The position involves the management of Samaritan Risk Retention Group (SRRG) and Pineapple Insurance Company (PIC), which are captive insurance companies of Baptist Health South Florida. The role includes overseeing external professionals and internal departments, managing various insurance programs, and assisting in claims management and special projects. The individual will perform coverage analysis, systematic tracking, and reporting for the insurance portfolio of Baptist Health South Florida and its affiliates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Samaritan Risk Retention Group (SRRG) and Pineapple Insurance Company (PIC).
  • Oversee outside professional and internal departments related to insurance management.
  • Manage and oversee other standalone insurance programs for current and future Joint Ventures.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of BHSF insurance programs, including claims management.
  • Perform various projects, coverage and technical analysis for the insurance portfolio.
  • Conduct systematic tracking and reporting for Baptist Health South Florida and its affiliates.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in insurance management.
  • Minimum of three years of significant insurance knowledge and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related programs.
  • Direct experience may substitute for degree requirement, with two years of direct experience for each year of required degree.
