About the position

The Director of Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns at Georgetown University is responsible for overseeing the young alumni giving programs and managing the strategic vision and implementation of key events such as Homecoming Weekend. This role involves working closely with alumni volunteers and internal partners to enhance class-based engagement and fundraising efforts, ensuring the achievement of established fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the strategic vision and implementation of Homecoming Weekend and volunteer recruitment and development.
• Manage volunteers for five undergraduate alumni class committees.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing professionals.
• Lead a team of one professional staff.
• Manage one programming and operating budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5-7 years of professional experience in a development/fundraising environment (preferably at Georgetown University)
• Desire to contribute to and participate in the mission of Georgetown University
• A track record of high achievement and meeting or exceeding goals
• Proven ability to think strategically and develop strategic plans
• Ability to lead by example and through instruction
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven experience developing deep, lasting relationships
• Excellent problem solving skills and a motivated, self-starter
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Professional and collegial demeanor and ability to exercise diplomacy
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
• Experience and comfort working with complex metrics and analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
