About the position

The Client Business Development Director is a key role focused on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within existing client accounts, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. This position involves strategic sales and marketing efforts to expand business, leveraging strong client relationships and effective communication. The role requires a collaborative approach within a remote-centric environment, emphasizing the importance of client engagement and account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing client relationships to expand accounts through effective communication via telephone, email, and social media.
  • Follow up on warm leads from marketing activities and proactively research potential prospects within current clients.
  • Qualify leads and opportunities through in-depth discovery and relationship-building with current clients.
  • Efficiently manage the prospect pipeline to achieve maximum results, adhering to established sales activity metrics.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to effectively present solutions to clients.
  • Plan and manage on-site events and marketing activities to engage current clients and foster new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with Client Account Directors to enhance and grow existing client programs, focusing strictly on business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development or account management within a pharma or healthcare marketing agency.
  • Significant experience in upselling and closing revenue.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with strong listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in creating and delivering compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with sales automation tools, preferably HubSpot CRM.
