About the position

The Director, Climate Risk at Montrose Environmental Group is a pivotal role that focuses on advising corporate clients on the implementation of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations. This position requires a deep understanding of climate-related risks, both physical and transitional, and the ability to assess their business and financial impacts through scenario analysis. The Director will be responsible for developing processes that identify, assess, and manage climate-related risks, ensuring these processes are integrated into the overall corporate risk management strategies of clients. In this role, the Director will establish oversight and governance around climate risk, working closely with the VP of Sustainability and Climate Advisory and the Sustainability and Climate Advisory (SCA) team. The Director will enhance and broaden the services offered by Montrose to its clients, addressing the increasing pressure on companies to understand and mitigate climate risks and capitalize on opportunities. This position is not only about risk management but also about fostering a proactive approach to sustainability and climate resilience within corporate structures. The Director will lead initiatives that promote best practices in climate risk management, ensuring that clients are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the complexities of climate-related challenges. This role is essential in positioning Montrose as a leader in environmental solutions, particularly in the realm of climate advisory services, and will involve collaboration with various stakeholders to drive impactful change.

Responsibilities

  • Advise corporate clients on the implementation of TCFD recommendations.
