About the position

The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for developing and implementing training programs for technical, personal development, and customer service for all employees within the Memorial Hermann Health System. This role involves leading the education team, collaborating with clinical leaders, and overseeing the Nurse Residency Program, ensuring high-quality education and professional nursing excellence across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for technical, administrative, clinical, and physician personnel.
• Provide strategic oversight of clinical education for Southeast and Pearland locations.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders and partners to design, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs.
• Oversee the SE/PL Nurse Residency Program and provide leadership oversight of nursing projects.
• Mentor clinical managers, educators, and nursing residents as appropriate.
• Support Magnet committees and activities that promote professional nursing excellence.
• Monitor the effectiveness of training seminars and their impact on service and productivity.
• Administer departmental budget and review financial records on expenditures.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of RN experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• 3+ years of education experience.
• 3+ years in a Director of Clinical Education capacity preferred.
