About the position

The Director, Clinical Operations is a leadership role within the Care Management team at Independence Care System, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing performance metrics, and leading initiatives to improve care quality. This position plays a crucial role in aligning departmental efforts with the organization's mission and goals, while also engaging with external stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead care management department efforts related to compliance requirements including audits, chart reviews, work-plans, and corrective action plans surrounding quality.
  • Develop and oversee existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ICS's mission and practice.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on organizational performance metrics, collaborating with department leads to execute work-plans for improvements.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies and other external organizations.
  • Participate in ongoing meetings with ICS customers such as civics league, DOH, and VNS.
  • Collaborate with Compliance HH and CMO leads in developing and executing performance improvement and oversight plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve care and efficiency using quality improvement methods such as Six Sigma and PDSA.
  • Develop and deliver trainings on compliance metrics with input from program leads.
  • Participate actively in compliance and quality meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading/supporting regulatory activities in healthcare organizations.
  • Expertise in developing work plans and organizing work to meet timelines.
  • Experience in effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in various formats.
  • Previous experience in training and developing staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with people with physical disabilities.
  • Master's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
