About the position

The Director of Clinical Programs and Strategy at National Jewish Health is a leadership role focused on advancing evidence-based tobacco cessation and clinical programs. This position is integral to the Health Initiatives Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic direction and oversight to enhance public health outcomes through innovative program development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and refinement of innovative, evidence-based programs.
• Oversee coach training, quality assurance, and continuous program improvement.
• Represent National Jewish Health as a subject-matter expert in tobacco cessation and related areas.
• Manage and develop an effective staff, providing communication, leadership, guidance, and resources.
• Establish and monitor staff safety and regulatory compliance.
• Direct the development and evaluation of clinical protocols and programs, including educational materials and training.
• Conduct ongoing literature reviews to determine evidence-based practices and quality indicators.
• Collaborate with external partners and conduct independent research regarding program effectiveness and outcomes.
• Shape and guide the identification, development, and implementation of new products, programs, and services.
• Provide leadership to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD with expertise in behavior change application and motivational intervention (MI) required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of recent and related clinical experience in delivering behavior change theory or application to individuals or groups.
• Prior leadership and project and/or program management experience preferred.
